摘要:棉花作為全球重要經濟作物,在我國具有顯著的戰略地位。然而,氣候變化和單一作物種植導致棉田土壤問題日益突出,嚴重制約了棉花生產的可持續性。間套作通過優化資源利用和功能協同作用,不僅提高了土地資源利用率,還能實現增產與養地的雙重目標,改善土壤結構和功能,為棉田可持續發展提供重要保障。本研究于2023-2024在中國農業科學院棉花研究所東場試驗基地開展,基于始于2017年的長期棉田定位試驗,采用單因素隨機區組設計,設置種植模式(三種間作:大蒜/棉花、花生||棉花和小麥/棉花;四種單作:棉花、大蒜、花生和小麥)。系統探究了不同間套作模式下棉花生產力、間套作體系生產力、養分積累量、土壤理化性質及生物特性,并基于土壤多功能性對生產力和養分積累量進行了綜合分析。研究結果表明:間套作模式顯著提高了棉花產量。籽棉產量兩年略有增長,衣分含量整體下降,但間作模式的降幅較?。烩彅翟黾佣徶亟档?,表明產量結構存在一定調整。不同種植體系和模式顯著優化了土壤有機質。穩定了有機質水平。同時間作在提升土壤碳循環酶活性方面表現更優。綜上所述,間套作顯著提高了棉花產量;另外,間作在改善有機質含量和碳循環酶活性方面表現更優。

Effects of intercropping on cotton yield and soil carbon cycling enzymes

Abstract:Cotton, as a globally significant cash crop, holds a prominent strategic position in China. However, there are some challenges such as climate change and monoculture cropping which led to increasing soil issues in cotton fields, severely restricting the sustainability of cotton production. Intercropping systems can optimize resource utilization and functional synergies, which not only enhance land use efficiency but also achieve dual goals of increased productivity and soil conservation, improving soil structure and functionality. As a result, they provide critical support for sustainable cotton field development. This study was conducted from 2023 to 2024 at the Dongchang Experimental Base of the Cotton Research Institute of the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences. Based on a long-term cotton field positioning experiment that began in 2017, a single factor random block design was designed, and seven planting patterns were involved (three intercropping: garlic/cotton, peanut||cotton, and wheat/cotton; four monoculture: cotton, garlic, peanut, and wheat). Under different intercropping patterns, the study systematically investigated cotton productivity, system productivity, nutrient accumulation, soil physicochemical properties, and biological properties. It conducted a comprehensive analysis of productivity and nutrient accumulation based on soil multifunctionality. The main results are as follows:Intercropping significantly increased cotton yield. And lint cotton yield showed increases over two years and lint percentage decreased with a smaller trend in intercropping systems. The number of bolls increased but boll weight decreased, which showing the adjustments in yield structure. Different planting systems and patterns significantly optimized soil organic matter and stabilized its level Meanwhile, intercropping performed better in enhancing the activity of enzymes involved in soil carbon cycling. In conclusion, intercropping significantly increased cotton yield; in addition, it outperformed in improving soil organic matter content and the activity of carbon cycling enzymes.
