Abstract：Firstly in this paper works out some suggestions on the curriculum provision of surveying and mapping for applied civil engineering majors: offering the curriculum of Engineering Surveying for majors who need to serve engineering construction and accurate construction survey; offering Surveying, Engineering Photogrammetry And Remote Sensing or Principle And Application Of 3S Technology for the majors who serve geospatial exploration and planning in a large range; offering elective courses orspecial lectures such as Geographic Information Technology And Surveying for all majors. Then focusing on the construction of engineering surveying course of applied civil engineering majors, understanding, practice and experience in teacher training, textbook construction and practical teaching are analysed. Finally the outstanding features of the CIVIL ENGINEERING SURVEYING (the 3rd edition) are summarized: which defines the measurement equipment necessary to meet civil engineering, the engineering surveying knowledge system suitable for civil engineering has been established, reflects the guiding role of Standard for Engineering Surveying, has the characteristics of Internet+ all media, and contains the internal resources that can be excavated and utilized.
